Environmental Co-ordination
Working with environmental specialists to deliver multi-disciplinary assessments and solutions for a range of project stage.
Providing the client with peace of mind that they have a single main point of contact who will ensure the wider team fully understands their requirements, has all necessary information to undertake a comprehensive piece of work, is following an appropriate scope, working within budget and is going to deliver them a high-quality end result.
Co-ordination also allows for any conflicting specialist advice to be dealt with during early project stages and consistent Stakeholder Engagement throughout, ensuring development of a fully rounded scheme.
This role can also be adapted to co-ordination of specialist ecology project teams – this is particularly useful to clients where complex data gathering or reporting is being undertaken, involving one or more ecology companies.
Ecological Appraisal and BNG Support
Offering clients, a simple and effective way of identifying potential ecological constraints and opportunities for their projects through desk study and initial site survey. This includes early Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) design advice.
Providing support to larger consultancies with a range of ecological survey e.g. Phase 1 Habitat, great crested newt, badger, water vole, otter and bat surveys (active survey licences held for both great crested newt and bats (bat survey level 2)).
Providing technical expertise across a range of ecological assessment e.g. analysis of complex survey data, Ecological Impact Assessment reports for planning applications, Environmental Statement chapters, BNG calculations, Habitat Regulations Assessments, protected species licence applications, Ecological Management Plans, Construction Environmental Management Plans and Monitoring reports.
Providing a peer review service for all aspects of ecological reporting.
Other Services
High Level Environmental Review and Screening – offering clients an early indication of environmental issues they will need to consider, the kind of environmental team they will require to support them with their project and any potential environmental or sustainability opportunities their project may provide, including those that may allow for positive PR at later stages. Can be tailored to suit project stage – viability, feasibility, outline design etc. This can then be followed by continued involvement in a project through provision of the co-ordination services outlined above.
Stakeholder engagement – attendance at meetings or support through a project with stakeholder engagement, whether this is with statutory consultees, local interest groups or at public consultation.
Environmental and Ecological Clerk of Works – providing on site advice, training, watching briefs and environmental/ecological audit services.
Environmental Awareness Training – providing a range of training options for companies and their staff. Whether it is provision of 1:1 training about a specific environmental issue; an ecology risks/opportunities or environmental awareness CPD event to a number of staff; or a talk about easy eco PR wins.
